Community Congregational Church, UCC, in Columbus, MT seeks a settled part-time pastor (30 hours per week) to serve our welcoming, active congregation and community.   We seek a minister with energy and enthusiasm for our shared life in Christ.  Columbus is an easy 40 miles from Billings, making this position ideal for someone who would like small town life with access to large town amenities. I had a long career as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker before I trained for ministry, so I was coming up on my 69th birthday before I was ordained.  I had various opportunities as associate pastor, transitional interim and supply before I came to Columbus, MT, as settled pastor in 2021. With my 75th birthday coming up soon, my husband's 79th, and some family reasons to return to the south, I have regretfully resigned. Columbus is such a sweet, loving, welcoming congregation, and I just pray for someone to feel the call here as I did. I have just come from a clergy retreat offered by the Montana Northern Wyoming Conference. I salute them. There is a lovely bonus to this position as it is set in beautiful surroundings only 1 1/2 hours to Yellowstone National Park; fantastic hiking, camping, fishing, skiing, and many other attractions set in the gorgeous Beartooth mountains.
